Our story began in 1915 when Cloverdale founder Hoy Russell started Mandan Creamery in Mandan, North Dakota. From the very beginning, Russell insisted on uncompromising quality, earning a reputation for the best-tasting, freshest dairy products. Building on that success, the company soon introduced a line of premium pork products that steadily attracted more loyal customers, setting the stage for the Cloverdale Foods you know and love today.

Still family-owned after all these years, Russell's insistence on uncompromising quality lives on as a 4th generation family-owned company that is "big on bacon" and natural apple and hardwood smoke. Since 1995, we have focused on what we do best: crafting premium pork products with our signature smoky and bold "Big Country Flavors" that create lasting memories.
